JIM DEMAY

For Mounds View School Board

Mounds View schools have provided our local families with top-ranked education for decades. Quality does not happen by accident, and improvement with a focus on best instructional practices has long been a community priority. As a Mounds View graduate and a parent of students, I appreciate the efforts of our teachers, staff, and parents to keep our schools on the cutting edge. We need leadership to promote excellence, keep funding focused on the classroom, improve facilities and school safety, build strong classroom instruction, and provide individualized career pathways for our graduates. Please support me in these efforts!

The Leadership Our SCHOOL Needs

MEET JIM DEMAY

Jim is involved in the Mounds View School District as a parent, volunteer and most recently as an elected School Board member.  He has served the community in countless volunteer organizations including the Shoreview Parks and Recreation Commission, the Arden Hills/Shoreview Rotary Club, and the Mounds View Schools Education Foundation.  DeMay was raised in Shoreview and brings community experience and community values to the school board.

Jim and his wife Channing Riggs returned to the Mounds View School District so their two children could attend Mounds View public schools.  He has a strong commitment to kids and public education. DeMay attended Island Lake Elementary, Chippewa Middle School and graduated from Mounds View High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BA) and Hamline University (MA).
